Celebrating 10 years of direct membership
To celebrate 10 years of IPEd as a direct membership organisation, and the many changes that have helped bring Editors WA closer to the rest of IPEd during that time, we held a lunch at the Moon Café in Perth on Saturday 25 July.
It was a very pleasant gathering, with a combination of longstanding members (Michèle Drouart AE HLM, Josephine Smith AE, Catherine Macdonald AE, Lerae Rowney AE and Ilsa Sharp) and newer members (Emily Maunder, Jen Bowden, Rochelle Pickles and Feby Winata).
A couple of the members had driven several hours from their homes in regional WA and felt that it was worth the effort to have an enjoyable lunch with other editors, something we hope to do more frequently in future. As our lunch was drawing to a close, the Perth Poetry Club was gearing up for its weekly slam, so we felt we were in the right place for lovers of words!
