From the DEI Working Party
What we’ve been up to
The IPEd DEI Working Party had its first meeting for 2026 on Tuesday 17 February. Our current key projects include:
- analysing the data from last year’s accessibility survey – this was IPEd’s first ever accessibility survey and will help us identify ways to deliver events and programs that are attuned to member needs. We received some great feedback from the survey and will compile, analyse and report on the data it uncovered soon.
- organising our second international DEI roundtable with the NorthWest Editors Guild in the US – this will build on the work we did in our first roundtable last May, helping us learn from, and share our knowledge with, our international counterparts.
- developing a handbook to guide future working party members – this is in its initial stages, but we’ll be chipping away at it over the next few months.
