IPEd

After much deliberation and consideration, IPEd has decided the 2021 conference, scheduled for Hobart, Tasmania, in June, will now be virtual.

After reviewing member survey results that revealed uncertainty about attending a face-to-face event, and the possibility of further border closures, IPEd decided a virtual conference was the best option.

IPEd Chair Ruth Davies said: ‘IPEd is committed to providing the best possible experience for members and delegates. With the enthusiasm our membership has shown in engaging with online branch events, the IPEd member forum and less formal networking opportunities over the internet, we are optimistic we can deliver a successful online format.’

IPEd will now focus on ensuring members and other delegates enjoy all the benefits of the 10th IPEd conference in a virtual environment.

The 11th IPEd conference, initially scheduled for 2022 in Wellington, New Zealand, and hosted by the EdANZ branch, has been moved to 2023 to enable conference years to alternate with accreditation exam years and give the newly established EdANZ branch more time to work with IPEd Conference Director Tania Goodacre to develop a full conference program.
