Conference update

We hope you are as excited as we are about the upcoming conference.

In case you’ve missed the news, IPEd’s 10th Editors Conference Editing on the edges will be presented by EdTas in late June 2021.

Monday 27 June will provide excellent professional development opportunities with six workshops. Workshops are capped at 30 participants each, and limited spaces are still available. Tuesday 28 June and Wednesday 29 June will be full conference days, packed with keynote speakers and presentations. You can review details of the program and speakers at iped2021.org.au.

Early-bird member rates were due to finish on 27 May. But if you are still deciding on attending the conference or a workshop, we have a special bonus for members.

Now the standard member rate will be dropped to match the early-bird member rate. You can register at this reduced rate right up to 24 June. All other rates remain the same.

All conference day-sessions will be recorded so there is no pressure to view them all in one day, and you won’t miss any that run consecutively.

Did you know we have a Facebook group for conference attendees and speakers? If you are active on Facebook and registered to attend, you are welcome to join us. You can find the group here: IPEd Conference 2021.

That’s not the only way to get information, though. We will keep updating the conference website and, after close of registration, we will email all delegates with instructions on how to access sessions and the virtual delegate satchel.

In preparation for the conference, we recommend you download the Zoom desktop client or mobile app to your device. You can do this from any app store or the Zoom website.

Zoom has excellent training resources including live webinars and videos. We suggest becoming familiar with how to test sound on your computer or deviceset up video or join a webinar as an attendee.

In the meantime, if you have any questions about using Zoom, attending the conference or your registration, please contact projects@iped-editors.org.
