IPEd

By Elizabeth Beach, PhD AE, Chair, IPEd Mentoring Committee

IPEd is introducing new mini-mentorships for students and other editors who would like to work with an experienced IPEd mentor on a specific topic or area of editing.  Priced at just $143, these short, sharp mentorships are an excellent and cost-effective professional development opportunity for emerging editors who are looking to brush up on a particular skill or perhaps learn more about a new genre.

The mini-mentorships are limited to 4–5 hours and can start at any time. The application process is the same as for our standard mentorships. Applicants should read the guidelines on our website and complete an application form. Our mentoring committee will then do its best to match you with a suitable mentor. If you have any questions, please contact mentorship@iped-editors.org or if you’re ready to apply, we’ll look forward to hearing from you soon!

If you are an experienced editor who is looking to share your expertise and experience with a new generation of editors, we’d love to hear from you. We have around 30 committed and hardworking mentors on our database but would love to welcome some new mentors to ensure we can meet the increased demand we’re expecting from our new mini-mentorship offering. To find out more about the program, please read the guidelines on our website and if you’re ready to join us, complete an application form and we’ll be in touch!
