From the Standing Committee on Professional Development
IPEd’s Mentoring Program is growing and you’re invited to get involved. We’re looking for experienced editors who want to “give back” by mentoring up-and-coming editors.
Did you know that when you take on a mentorship, you’re helping to lift the entire editing profession? Not only are you helping to boost the skills of the mentee, but you also gain a skills uplift in active listening, self-reflection and networking. And that’s a win for all of us.
Need another reason to sign up?
This year, we’re offering a free training program to help mentors build their skills when working with emerging editors from First Nations and culturally diverse editors. You’ll get the chance to participate in workshops with two fantastic facilitators as well as access to a series of self-paced learning modules.
To find out more about how you can be part of this program, please contact us today.
Or if you’re ready to sign up, just fill in this brief online form to get the ball rolling.
