The IPEd Standards Working Party gave a presentation at the plenary session of the 11th IPEd Editors Conference. We provided a summary of the work completed since 2021 and the steps remaining until the Standards will be completed. As the work has taken longer than anticipated, we have created summaries of the revision in two formats:
- a plain-language short document, that gives a high-level summary of the suggested changes to the Standards
- a longer document that highlights the major changes across each section of the Standards in more detail.
A track changed version of the Standards will be prepared following completion of the cultural reviews, so that members can easily see the text that has been changed from the second edition.
These will be available shortly for IPEd members on the IPEd members portal.
The committee members have worked extremely hard on the revisions since October 2021. I would like to acknowledge the contributions of three committee members who have completed their term. They are Joely Taylor, Sue Pavasarisk and Paula Wagemaker.
