2026 Editors NSW Annual Branch Meeting and committee elections
It’s that time of year again when we invite Editors New South Wales members to attend our Annual Branch Meeting and consider joining the branch committee.
Being a committee member is an excellent opportunity to develop new skills, expand your professional network and contribute to the future of the branch. Committee meetings are held online, making participation possible from anywhere in New South Wales.
We’re particularly seeking nominations for the roles of President, Vice President and Networking and Social Events Coordinator, although nominations are welcome for all positions. Shared roles may also be considered.
Financial Voting (Professional and Honorary Life) Members may nominate directly for election. Associate, Student and Corporate Members are also encouraged to express their interest and may be invited to join the committee following the election if positions remain available.
Nominations close on Wednesday 8 July 2026.
The Annual Branch Meeting will be held online at 6 pm on Tuesday 4 August 2026. All branch members are encouraged to attend and support the incoming committee.
Networking event report: Crows Nest lunch

Nine of us gathered for a relaxed Editors New South Wales lunch in Crows Nest on 4 May. It was an enjoyable opportunity to catch up and compare notes, although a jackhammer outside occasionally provided an unhelpful soundtrack!
Despite the noise, we made some great new connections and discussed industry trends, current projects and the wide variety of editing work represented around the table.
Networking event report: Neutral Bay lunch
By Greg Price
On Wednesday 27 May, a small Editors New South Wales group gathered for a mid-week lunch at Alala’s Bar at The Oaks in Neutral Bay.
Attending were Gabriella Sterio, Louise Scahill AE, Robyn Short, Susie Pilkington and Greg Price.
The lunch provided a welcome opportunity to reconnect, exchange ideas and discuss business conditions, as well as the impact that rapidly evolving AI technologies are having on the editing profession.
