Accreditation through IPEd lasts five years, after which accredited editors (AEs) must apply to have their accreditation renewed. For the first AEs, accredited in 2008, renewal will be due in December 2013.

A call for applications for renewal of accreditation will be made, and the application fee advised, six months before renewal is due. Applications should be submitted no earlier than three months before the due date—i.e. from September 2013 for AEs accredited in 2008.

To assist AEs to begin recording information and gathering evidence for their applications, the proposed Application for Renewal of Accreditation form is provided here. A Microsoft Word version of the form will be made available closer to the time at which accredited editors will need to renew their accreditation.
